7 Fun VW Facts by Tom OSteen

Volkswagen has been around for a long time and have quite a lot of history. There are a lot of people who own or have owned a VW who probably know all the most common facts, but for those who don't, there are some interesting things that go into keeping that history positive and creating the VW. The list below tells seven fun VW facts about the how and why VW has stayed so strong for so long.

1) The VW Beetle is a beloved little car. It was listed as the 20th century's most influential vehicle available and as the highest ranked.

2) "Volkswagen" in German means the "people's car." Volkswagen was created in the beginning to be able to carry as many as two adults and three children and still achieve speeds up to 100 mph. This was the perfect car for an average family.

3) Beetles, Beetles everywhere and they all run! Yes, VW Beetles are everywhere you look because they have been in production for over 65 years autel obd. In the years of time, Volkswagen has created 21,529,464 cars- making it the longest produced car in history. So, if you do not see one on the road, that would be unusual.

4) The Beetle is just as popular, if not more so, than the American muscle cars. Due to the Beetle being an affordable and stable car, Beetle street racing has grown and by just giving their little engines a tweak, they compete very well on the drag racing circuit- who would have though. Just because this cute little bubble style car is small and sweet, it can really kick up a lot of dust.

5) The VW Passat or the Audi 8? Seems like a big difference but most people would be very surprised to know the VW and the Audi are practically identical. The only real difference in these two cars is in appearance only because the VW Passat was built to match the Audi 8 only in the mechanical build and parts.

6) It looked like a VW, but then again... After getting a closer look, you figure out what you saw had a different build. Copying something is certainly a way of flattery and it seems that there are some manufacturers copying the VW base and adding their own personal touches to make them their own. The Seat, Skoda, Porsche and Audi are a few of those manufacturers who "borrowed" VW's amazing style.

7) Beetle Days 1972 saw VW Beetle mania first begin. Then, in 2012 there was another VW Beetle mania that shot sales way up Autel MS908CV. Worldwide, sales for the VW went up 24 percent and in China and Brazil sales shot up another 10 percent, proving once again the new Beetles are selling very well. All companies prove their staying power by how long they have been around and VW has been proving their staying power since they first came out in 1972, not only in sales but in the trust and loyalty of their customers.
